6-Day Ancient Greece & Peloponnese Tour with Saronic Islands Cruise

A great way to experience the many wonders of Ancient Greece.From the moment we were picked up at our hotel we knew this trip was going to be special.  It was indeed a brilliant way to cover a lot of territory in just under a week as Greece has such a vast array of breathtaking places to visit on the mainland, not just the islands. Our first driver took ill and was promptly replaced with another thoroughly dependable fellow who checked with us all the time about where we would stop, and for how long. Hotel accommodation was of a high standard overall with Sparta being the only exception. The office staff at Private Tours Greece were helpful and understanding when we had unavoidable delays with our booking and confirmation at our end. It was truly a pleasure to do business with them. We spent a total of 4 weeks in Greece, the five days and 6 nights of this tour being a very memorable part of our holiday.

Well organized trip

Yes, me and my wife enjoyed the 5 days trip, and we were mostly pleased with the hotel arrangements. The Hotel Europa in Olympia was fabulous and we also enjoyed the accommodation in Delphi (Nefeles Guesthouse). The other hotels were also good , but the views from the rooms at the Menelaion Hotel in Sparta and the view from the Hotel Dellas at Meteora could have been better.

With your driver Gerasimos we were very happy. Good English. Always in time waiting for us. Very good driving, courteous and he could give good basic information about the sites visited.

Wonderful Time on the Peloppenese

My friend and I booked a 6 day tour of the Greek Peloppenese in September last year with Private Tours Greece. We had the most amazing time—everything was very well organized, and I still can’t believe everything we saw and did in 6 days. Our driver, George, was outstanding—this man knows everything there is to know about Greek history, culture, food, destinations. He made this trip what it was, so I would highly recommend requesting him as your driver. The vehicle we had was spacious, clean and new. We opted for the 4 star hotels, and were very happy with the hotels in Olympia and Meteora. The tour company owner and operator, Dimitra, does a fantastic job of organizing and customizing what you are looking for. She is also a pleasure to deal with, and that goes her staff as well. Sometimes it’s hard to know when you are booking something half way around the world if you are doing the right thing—I can assure you, with this company, you will be very pleased with your adventure.

Our best 6 days private Peloponnese tour

My son and I went to 6 days private tour on Peloponnese area. Thanks to Dimitra and Eleni who organized our trip from A to Z with all the details, they answered all my questions, gave me recommendations to stay in Pylos since we wanted to add the time for swimming and relaxing in that area. Our driver was Nikos Sachinis and we could not have a better choice. Nikos is very kind , polite , respectful and considerate man. He has a great and easy personality with the awesome sense of humor. He is very professional and absolutely one of the best driver. It was so much pleasure to be with him, he understands our needs, he recommended the places where we can eat authentic Greek food and gave us so much information about the sightseeing that we did not even need a tour guides on the sites. He made out trip very memorable and enjoyable. Now we can't even imagine our trip without him. Nikos became our friend right away , we feel very save with him, he was always on time, never late and very reliable. This tour was great. My wife and I were all over Greece with a great driver and private guides. I recommend paying extra for the private guides as they were all very good. Our primary driver was Nick - ask for him you cannot do better.

Great Peloponnese trip!

Four of us booked a six day private tour of the Peloponnese and it exceeded our expectations!
Our driver, Giannis, was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was always punctual, very knowledgeable of the area, a careful and considerate driver, happy, friendly, courteous and he made our trip something special. We were very Lucy to get Giannis!

A once in a lifetime experience

Dimitra, It is now four months since my companion and I enjoyed our wonderful tour of the Peloponnese that you arranged for us.
I look at photos and memorabilia I collected on the trip, and memories come flooding back. Your staff were so knowledgeable and helpful that the 7 days I spent on your tour were the highlight of my 7 week European holiday. A blend of ancient Greek history and spectacular, interesting scenery.

Athens and the Peloponnese

What a wonderful tour! Thank you, Dimitra, for personalizing the route for us and giving us Stathis (an expert, professional and personable driver) and Yianni (a very knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic guide). They made an interesting trip more wonderful and enjoyable. We got to see the archaeological and historic sites we were looking forward to, but also through Yianni's coaching, tried some charming and off-the-beaten-path tavernas and cafes for some delicious Greek meals. Wherever possible, Stathis chose roads rather than freeways so we could experience more of the country and he anticipated our desires for "photo ops" managing to stop for optimal photo taking. How refreshing to be in a comfortable van where the needs of only us 4 travelers plus driver & guide had to be considered.
The hotel accommodations were great, with plentiful breakfast buffets every day. You really provided high value for our cost.
I've been singing your praises to everyone and I hope this post helps other travelers to consider booking with Private Tours Greece. Thank you.

6 Day Tour In the Peloponnese

PTG are an excellent company to deal with, response to any communication was within 24 hours and they worked with me on the itinerary to fit in extra sites we wanted to visit. Our driver Mr Kostas is absolutely fabulous, always on time, very knowledgeable of Peloponnese and nothing was too much trouble for him. The minibus was new, air conditioned, clean and comfortable for 4 adults. The Hotel accommodation (4 star) booked was comfortable. I would highly recommend PTG for any private tour of Greece and would have no hesitation in booking with them again.

6 Days in Peloponnese and Meteora

My friend and I just got back from a wonderful trip with Private Tours. We did the 6 day tour of the Peloponnese, Delphi, and Meteora. Our driver, Nikos S., was fantastic. It was the first time in Greece for both of us, and Nikos took complete care of us, shared his love of his country and the many wonderful sites, and gave us insight into the modern and ancient culture of Greece. He made sure our site-specific guides (all excellent) knew that we were archaeologists and so the site tours were geared towards our specific interests. Definitely ask for Nikos if you use this company. Everything was arranged in advance and worked perfectly.

Perfect private tour

I took this company's 6-day classical tour from April 25th to April 30th. Luckily weather was perfect and I had nothing but fond memories. When I signed up this private tour, my decision was based on all those favorable reviews here in Tripadvisor. And I have to reassure you that their reviews are correct. Of course, the only contact I had was the driver, Nikos Sachinis, and the car I rode for 6 days. So I cannot say anything about the company itself other than my experience. However, I have to emphasize that Eleni, a customer service lady, was extremely helpful and courteous through emails from the beginning to the end. I wish I had a chance to meet her to say thank you. Nikos turns out to be the perfect driver as well as a perfect travel companion. Very pleasant, knowledgeable, and intelligent. At first, I was somewhat uneasy about driving through winding and narrow roads in Peloponnese peninsula, but his driving was conservative, always safety first, strictly following speed limits, and I felt so comfortable riding his car. He also has a lot of knowledge about archeology and history of the sites we visited, and his tips helped me a lot in walking around those sites. I highly recommend this company, if you are, like myself, not comfortable driving a rental car in Greece where you cannot read road signs and any emergency messages, and cannot ask help in local language. Public transportation in Greece is, unfortunately, not good in Peloponnese peninsula, and considering all hassles of arranging transportation in remote areas of archeological sites, this private tour is worth the money you will spend. I should also add that their selection of hotels is also very good. I don't know of any other drivers in this company, but if you have a choice, get Nikos. You will never be disappointed!

Classical Greece

Excellent well planned tour. Met all my expectations. The driver Nico was very friendly, knowledgeable and quite entertaining. At one stage of the tour, there was a misunderstanding with a hotel booking, we were efficeintly and seamlessly upgraded to a fancier hotel.
