3-Day Private Tour of Delphi, Olympia and Meteora, Steps into Greek History
Three bucket-list sites in three days - it's doable and it's worth it
I had four days left in Greece and wanted to see Olympia, Delphi, and Meteora. Everyone told me it was too much. It wasn't not with a private driver and a well-planned route. The vehicle was high-end, the communication before the tour was quick and clear, and the itinerary doesn't waste a single hour. The stop at Thermopylae on the way back to Athens was the perfect ending. Standing where the 300 Spartans held the line puts everything else in perspective.

We almost didn't book because of the Day 1 distances - glad we did
We went back and forth before booking because the driving on Day 1 looked like a lot on paper. In practice it worked really well - the stops are spaced out nicely and the Rion-Antirion Bridge crossing is genuinely impressive. The coffee stop at the Venetian harbor in Nafpaktos was a highlight we didn't expect. Olympia and Delphi delivered everything we hoped for, and being able to add official licensed guides at checkout made the ruins actually make sense. Well organized from start to finish.

Great for families - they thought of everything
We traveled as a family of four with a stroller and honestly weren't sure how the logistics would work. They worked perfectly. Our driver was patient, gave us great historical context during the drives, and pointed us toward a proper local taverna in Arachova - not the one on the main square with the tourist menu. The flexibility to slow down at the sites for the kids made all the difference. We wouldn't have managed this trip any other way.

The best way to see mainland Greece
Strong itinerary. Arriving at Delphi before the day-trip crowds from Athens felt like we had the place to ourselves - completely different experience. And the Meteora sunset from the valley floor is something I'll struggle to describe to people back home. It's a packed schedule, but because it's fully private you never feel herded. Our Mercedes minivan was spotless. If you want to cover the best of mainland Greece without wasting a day, just book it.

Intense but absolutely worth every single mile!
We only had a week in Greece and wanted to see the main historical sites without booking a massive group bus tour. This 3-day trip was exactly what we needed. Yes, Day 1 involves a lot of driving - but our driver made the hours fly. He knew every scenic route, every good stop, and kept us comfortable the whole time. The olive oil and wine tasting near Olympia was a genuine surprise - a real local producer, not a tourist shop. We added the licensed guides at checkout and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Three sites, three days, zero regrets.
Private Santorini Shore Excursion: Oia, Pyrgos & Farm-to-Table Lunch
Three of us - two adults and my teenage daughter who is usually hard to impress. She loved the farm. She fed the chickens, tried the edible flowers straight from the garden, and asked more questions than I've heard her ask in years. The lunch was exceptional — the kind of food that makes you realise how much flavour you've been missing. Pyrgos was peaceful and Oia was stunning. Our driver was waiting exactly where he said he would be. A genuinely special day.

What sold me was the farm visit - I was a little skeptical but my wife insisted and she was absolutely right. The guide walked us through the microgreens and edible flowers, explained how everything is grown without chemicals, and then we sat down to the most incredible lunch. Fresh, simple, seasonal. Oia afterwards felt almost like a bonus. Back at the cable car with 45 minutes to spare. Perfectly organised.
Private Santorini Shore Excursion: Oia, Pyrgos & Farm-to-Table Lunch
We chose this tour because we'd already done the standard Santorini highlights on a previous cruise. The farm-to-table lunch was the reason - and it did not disappoint. Five small plates, local wine, and a main course with fish caught that morning. We ate outside with a view of the gardens. My husband said it was the best meal of the entire trip. Pyrgos was a lovely surprise too, quieter and more authentic than Oia, which we appreciated.
Private Santorini Shore Excursion: Oia, Pyrgos & Farm-to-Table Lunch
I've been on a lot of shore excursions and this one was genuinely different. The farm visit sounds like an odd choice for Santorini but it was one of the highlights of the day - seeing how they grow everything and then sitting down to eat it an hour later was something I wasn't expecting. The fish was incredibly fresh. Oia was beautiful as always but having Pyrgos in the morning before the crowds arrive made a real difference. Our driver was brilliant throughout.

We've done group shore excursions before and they're fine, but this was a completely different experience. Just the four of us, our own vehicle, and a driver who actually knew what he was talking about. Perissa was a nice surprise - we didn't expect the black sand to be that dramatic. Oia at the end was crowded but our driver found a spot away from the main path that most people miss. Highly recommend.

Traveled with my parents, both in their 70s. I was a bit nervous about the walking but our driver checked in with them at every stop and adjusted the pace without us even having to ask. The views from Prophet Elias were worth the trip alone. My mum still talks about it.

Third time in Santorini and I finally saw parts of the island I'd never been to. Megalochori and Emporio were completely new to me - the Kasteli in Emporio is something else. Our driver was relaxed, funny, and clearly knew the island well. No rushing, no script. Just a really good day.
