Location

Day 1: Private Tour of Argolis (Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nafplio)

  • Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the breathtaking Canal of Corinth, where you can enjoy the amazing view of the 6 km length and 80m height. Next, we will visit Ancient Mycenae, the center of Greek civilization and home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. Visit the Cyclopean Walls, the famous Lion’s Gate, and the ‘’Atreus King Tomb’’! We will then visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, which seats 15,000 spectators and has breathtaking acoustics. Afterward, we will head to one of the most beautiful towns in Greece, the seaside town of Nafplio. You can stroll through narrow streets filled with old mansions and enjoy your lunch next to the sea. Later, we will head to Olympia for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ancient Olympia, Honey, Olive Oil and Food Tasting – Parga - Syvota

  • Your driver will meet you at your hotel to take you to Ancient Olympia, the most celebrated sacred site of Ancient Greece and the birthplace of the Olympic Games, the most important sports event in all antiquity. Walk around the site and admire the Temple of Zeus, once housing the gold and ivory statue of the god, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Hera, and the stadium, among others. You can also visit the archaeological museum, which houses art masterpieces such as the Hermes of Praxiteles and the Nike (Victory) of Paionios, as well as finds from the excavations in the sacred precinct of the Altis dating from prehistoric times to the Early Christian period. We will explore the flea market, indulging in a delightful experience of complimentary wine and olive oil tasting. Relish the distinct blends of olive oil paired with the iconic Greek olives. Additionally, we will visit a local honey farm where, under the shade of the trees, we'll have coffee or juice and savor hand-made local desserts crafted with honey produced by this farm for generationsAfterward, we will drive toward Syvota for an overnight stay

Day 3: Syvota:

This 8-day tour begins with a visit to Necromantion, also known as the 'Oracle of the Dead.' As the first oracle known in history, it was built on the ancient Greek belief that the souls of the dead could see into the future. Our tour continues to the site of Zalogo, a well-known site of self-sacrifice where 63 women of Souli chose to dance off a cliff to their deaths rather than surrender to the Turks. You can climb the 410 steps to the impressive monument built in tribute to these brave women. Next, we will visit the inland village of Gliki and the River Acheron, believed to be the ancient river Styx. In mythology, the water was believed to have magical powers. Achilles' mother even bathed him in the waters of the river Acheron as a baby, leaving his heel as the only vulnerable spot. We'll spend the night at Syvota. 

Day 4: Syvota - Corfu:

  • we leave Syvota and head to the port of Igoumenitsa to catch a ferry boat to Corfu. Once there, we'll check in at the hotel and enjoy free time to explore the town of Corfu. The Old Town of Corfu, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a labyrinth of narrow streets paved with cobblestones and packed with tourist shops. The town is built under the Venetian style, making it one of the most beautiful and elegant towns in Greece. You'll be amazed by the numerous churches, narrow streets, and the well-known Liston. Day 5: Corfu:

  • Begins with a Private Tour to the most notable highlights of Corfu Island. We will visit the Mon Repos Palace, a neoclassical building that offers a spectacular sea view. Next, we'll visit Kanoni, the church of Panagia Vlacherna, and Mouse Island. We'll continue our tour to Achilleion Palace, built in 1890 by Empress Elizabeth (Sissy) of Austria in the picturesque village of Gastouri. Afterward, we'll visit the famous Paleokastritsa bay, known as the Capri of Greece, and the traditional village of Lakones, called God's Balcony due to its panoramic view of the Paleokastritsa Bay and surrounding hills. We'll pass through picturesque traditional villages before returning to the town of Corfu. Overnight in Corfu.

Day 6: Corfu - Metsovo - Meteora:

  • After breakfast, we will start our day by visiting the Acheilion Palace, an impressive neoclassical mansion built in the 19th century for the Empress of Austria. From there, we'll head to the Old Venetian Fortress in Corfu, which was constructed in the 15th century to safeguard the town from enemies. This fortress is one of the most captivating tourist attractions in Corfu. After exploring the fortress, we'll continue our tour on foot to reach the famous Spianada square, which is considered the second-largest square in Europe and is a replica of Rue de Rivoli in Paris.We'll then make a stop at the traditional mountain town of Metsovo, known for its stone houses, customs, and being a popular winter holiday destination. From there, we'll proceed to Meteora, where we'll spend the night. Meteora is a breathtaking complex of Eastern Orthodox monasteries built on towering natural rock formations. The awe-inspiring views and spiritual atmosphere make Meteora one of the most unique places in Greece. Overnight in Meteora

Day 7: Meteora - Delphi:

  • Meet your driver at your hotel to visit the Byzantine Monasteries of Meteora, which are included on the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list. The name "Meteora" means "suspended in the air" because of the formation of the gigantic rocks on top of which the monasteries were built. You will visit one of the largest and most precipitously built complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries and admire the Monasteries such as the Great Meteoro, Varlaam, S. Stephan, Rousanou, depending on the day. Most of them were founded in the 14th century and are still in operation today, receiving many pilgrims. After exploring the monasteries, you will leave Meteora to reach Delphi for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Delphi - Athens:

  • Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Delphi on a private tour. Visit the ancient theater, museum, and sites such as Castalia Spring, the Oracle of Apollo, and the temple of Athena Pronaia. Marvel at the exhibits in the Delphi museum, including the bronze Charioteer and the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifinians. Cancellation Policy

  • In order to confirm any booking, 30% payment in advance is required, fully refundable in case of any written cancellation received 40 days prior the arrival date.
  • For any cancellation OR change between 39 days to 20 days prior the first day of arrival, cancellation fees equal to 50% of the total cost of program applies.
  • For any cancellation OR change within 19 days prior the first day of arrival and/or non shows, full cancellation fees applies – the total cost of the program.
  • A written notification of any cancellation or change is necessary to be sent to PRIVATE TOURS Greece.
