Pick-up form your hotel
- Our driver will meet you at your hotel at 08:30 and drive you to Ancient Olympia.
Photo Stop at Corinth Canal
- After about an hour's drive, we will reach the Corinth Canal for a short stop to take photos. From there, we continue along the highway to Patras, a major commercial and passenger port of Greece, before reaching the village of Olympia, one of the most celebrated sacred sites of Ancient Greece.
Ancient Site of Olympia
- Olympia is the birthplace of the Olympic Games, which began in 776 B.C., uniting Greeks across the known world every four years in the true spirit of sportsmanship. On our private tour, we will explore the archaeological site, admiring the Temple of Zeus, once home to the gold and ivory statue of the god and considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We will visit the Temple of Hera, one of the oldest monumental temples in Greece, and see the Bouleuterion and the Stadium where the original Olympic Games were held.

- After exploring the ruins, we will visit the nearby archaeological museum, home to masterpieces such as the Hermes of Praxiteles and the Nike of Paionios, along with finds from the sacred precinct of the Altis dating from prehistoric times to the Early Christian period.

- Next, we visit a local honey farm. Under the shade of the trees, enjoy coffee or juice paired with handmade local desserts made from honey produced on the farm for generations. The owner will share stories of how village families lived and worked the land, both in the past and today, and introduce you to the fascinating life of bees through a presentation of traditional and modern beekeeping tools.
