Meteora Marvel

Nancy, our private guide, was very knowledgeable about the Greek Orthodox Monasteries at Meteora. She was both charming and highly educated as she shared historical information with us. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time at the Monasteries and marveled at their construction atop the sandstone mountains.
Our driver was very courteous and offered to stop for a late lunch which we enjoyed with local Greek wine!
The only drawback to this tour was the four hour drive from Athens.

1 Day Private tour to Monasteries of Meteora in Kalambaka from Athens

I've NEVER been to another country so when my sister said "I'm getting married in Greece" I said "I'm coming!"
She booked the 8 hour tour to the Apostle Paul ruins, Caves of 12 Lakes,the monastery and with thee BEST tour guide EVER!!!!
Nikos.tsortzas was beyond our expectations! We loved him right away! So polite, knowledgeable, funny,and it's like we had known him for years!
We couldn't wait for our adventure!
Our 1st stop was the Corinth Canal! A man made canal that is so deep it's hard to comprehend how they made it! AMAZING!
On to the Apostle Paul ruins. We all had great conversations on the way there with Nikos. He was very interesting and we had ALOT of laughs! The ruins were so historical and another memory on our journey.
The Cave of 12 Lakes was next. It was a ways up the mountain but we didn't even care. Like I said, we had the BEST tour guide! Not to mention all my family that was with! The caves were UNBELIEVABLE! I couldn't believe that they were just founded in 1964 by 2 men! The world is just mesmerizing!
Last stop was on top of the mountain. The monastery! We had a choice if we wanted to go there. Sooooo glad we did! It was built right into the mountain. We weren't really dressed for it(Just felt a lil disrespectful w jeans on) but Nikos eased my mind and had the monks/ priest talk to me that it was "all good". I got sooooo emotional with PEACE. I will NEVER forget it.
We headed down the mountain... had great conversations and laughs. Our journey was gonna end soon.
I will NEVER EVER forget that tour! Nikos was a gem! I would DEFINITELY request him as your tour guide. When I go back I hope he's still there!!

Great Tour

This was an amazing experience. The service was great. The driver was wonderful, was able to change the itinerary per our request. The company provided included local guide for us in Meteora. We had great lunch as per driver's recommendations, and we were very happy with the recommendations.
