A Half-Day Cruise Along the Most Spectacular Coastline in the Aegean
Milos is best seen from the water. Its most iconic landscapes - the white rock arches of Kleftiko, the collapsed cave of Sykia, the painted syrmata villages along the waterfront - are either unreachable by land or completely transformed when approached by sea.
Our Milos small group boat cruise follows the full western coastline of the island, with long stops for swimming, snorkelling through the sea caves of Kleftiko, and a freshly prepared lunch served on board. The group is kept small by design - intimate enough to feel personal, never enough to feel like a crowd. We depart from Adamas port in the afternoon and return after sunset, giving you the best light of the day on the water. Guests joining from the Milos cruise port are welcome - your transfer to Adamas is easy to arrange and we will guide you through the details at booking.
This cruise is perfect for couples and small families looking for a relaxed day on the water, cruise passengers with a full day ashore in Milos, and travellers who want to see Kleftiko without joining a large group tour. If you want to swim, eat well, and watch the sun go down from the sea - this is your day.
Departure from Adamas Port
- Meet us at our office at Adamas port at 08:45 for a 09:20 departure. We set off along the coastline, leaving Milos Bay behind as we pass the traditional fishing villages of Skinopi, Klima, Areti and Fourkovouni — their colourful syrmata houses built directly by the water's edge.
Arkoudes, Cape Vani & Sykia Cave
- We visit Arkoudes, a striking formation of lava rocks shaped - as its name suggests - like a bear. With the sails open, we head to the impressive Cape Vani and our first swim stop at Kalogries, a natural bay ideal for diving straight from the catamaran into exceptionally clear water. We then continue to the cave of Sykia, where a collapsed roof creates a natural skylight - one of the most unusual geological sights on the island.
Kleftiko - The Pirates' Bay
Our main swim stop is Kleftiko - the legendary pirates' bay - with its white volcanic cliffs, turquoise waters, and labyrinth of sea caves. Our crew will guide you to the best spots for swimming and snorkelling, where the underwater rock formations and colours are unlike anywhere else on the island. After your swim, a freshly prepared lunch is served on board by our crew.
Gerakas, Sulphur Mines & Poliegos Lagoon
- We continue to the wild and largely inaccessible beach of Gerakas, known for its natural thermal springs along the shoreline. Sailing past the abandoned Sulphur Mines - a hauntingly beautiful relic of the island's industrial past - we reach our final swim stop: the Galazia Nera lagoon in Poliegos. The geological formations here create a sheltered natural pool where the water is shallow, still, and an extraordinary shade of blue.
Return via Kimolos & Disembarkation at Pollonia
- We make our way back passing the islands of Kimolos and Agios Eustathios, arriving at Pollonia dock at around 19:00. A vehicle will be waiting to transfer all guests back to Adamas.
