Location
- Pick up: The driver will pick you up and begin your scenic drive to the top of the caldera, with your first stop at Oia, a village with unsurpassed beauty. Small white houses tier the hillside, and smooth winding paths interconnect interrupted now and then by a small church. At every corner, there is something new to discover. Oia offers breathtaking views of the deep blue sea and surrounding islands. You can browse local shops, cafés, and art galleries and get memorable photos with a Caldera view!
- Pyrgos Village, the highest point in Santorini, offering panoramic views. Pyrgos remains traditional and is accordant with the Cycladic architecture. Here, we will visit the picturesque chapel of Prophet Elias, located on a hill near the Pyrgos community. It was built in 1917 on the remains of an older medieval temple.
- Wine tour: After Pyrgos, we will head to a local winery where the history of wine unfolds through exhibits, and you will taste the amazing Santorini wines and local cheese while enjoying the magnificent panoramic view. There, you'll taste Santorini mezes, sample local wines, and nibble on barley rusks, cheese, olives, and tomatoes.
- Fira town: Finally, we will visit Fira town, the capital of Santorini, located on the caldera cliffs opposite the volcano. Apart from the museums and galleries, it has the island's largest shopping center and the biggest choice of dining out and entertainment. There is so much to choose from and so many places to explore. The volcano can be seen from every point, as can the mesmerizing sunsets. Sunset time in Santorini seems to be the only hour of the day when everything and everyone stops moving.
- At the end of the tour, you will take the cable car to reach your ship.
