In antiquity the lake was a place of worship for the god Pan and the nymph Melissanthi. Explore the lake with a small rowing boat. Finally, we will reach at the picturesque harbor village of Agia Efimia. It is surrounded by mountains to the north, west and south, which form the Pylaros Valley. Enjoy your coffee break at one of thousands marvelous taverns and restaurants line the waterfront overlooking the wonderful bay and get memorable photos!

We suggest you taste the PDO Kefalonian Robola from Barrel which fermented and aged for 6 months in French oak barrels. Subtle oak aromas on a citrus palette. Can be enjoyed immediately after its release and up to 5 years later. The second option is "Vostilidi" The resurrection of a very old—almost extinct—Kefalonian variety. Experimental vinification methods, with respect to its history. Do not miss to taste the "Glykorogos" Natural wine, sweet, from sun-dried grapes of the excellent Moscato and Mavrodafni varieties.
- Melissani Lake: Continue your cruise shore excursion to visit the "Melissani Lake" is one of the most famous underground lakes all over the world! In antiquity the lake was a place of worship for the god Pan and the nymph Melissanthi. Melissani Lake opened to the public in 1963.The cavern caved in several thousand years ago creating an amazing sight. Scientists have discovered by dye tracing experiments in 1959 that the water travels from Katavothres, on the other side of the island, and comes out here. The best time to visit the lake is when the sun is right overhead around noon when the sunlight rays strike the water, creating a magical blue light atmosphere. Explore the lake with a small rowing boat.

Over the years it has become one of the island's major attractions and every summer the streets of the village throb with activity. Marvellous taverns and restaurants line the waterfront overlooking the wonderful bay. At the end of the shore excurion we will transfer you back to the ship!
