I've NEVER been to another country so when my sister said "I'm getting married in Greece" I said "I'm coming!"
She booked the 8 hour tour to the Apostle Paul ruins, Caves of 12 Lakes,the monastery and with thee BEST tour guide EVER!!!!
Nikos.tsortzas was beyond our expectations! We loved him right away! So polite, knowledgeable, funny,and it's like we had known him for years!
We couldn't wait for our adventure!
Our 1st stop was the Corinth Canal! A man made canal that is so deep it's hard to comprehend how they made it! AMAZING!
On to the Apostle Paul ruins. We all had great conversations on the way there with Nikos. He was very interesting and we had ALOT of laughs! The ruins were so historical and another memory on our journey.
The Cave of 12 Lakes was next. It was a ways up the mountain but we didn't even care. Like I said, we had the BEST tour guide! Not to mention all my family that was with! The caves were UNBELIEVABLE! I couldn't believe that they were just founded in 1964 by 2 men! The world is just mesmerizing!
Last stop was on top of the mountain. The monastery! We had a choice if we wanted to go there. Sooooo glad we did! It was built right into the mountain. We weren't really dressed for it(Just felt a lil disrespectful w jeans on) but Nikos eased my mind and had the monks/ priest talk to me that it was "all good". I got sooooo emotional with PEACE. I will NEVER forget it.
We headed down the mountain... had great conversations and laughs. Our journey was gonna end soon.
I will NEVER EVER forget that tour! Nikos was a gem! I would DEFINITELY request him as your tour guide. When I go back I hope he's still there!!

I had an excellent trip in Greece with the help of Dimitra and her colleagues. She always gave prompt replies from the start of planning to the finish of our trip. It’s hassle free for us two. ALL the drivers we met were extremely professional with good hospitality. Special mention is Nikkos who is polite and humorous.
A tour guide is a must to see and understand more about the archaeological spots in Greece. We were very lucky to have an archaeologist as our guide! Nancy, you are exceptional! Catarina, you are very informative!
The sunset boat cruise in Santorini was the highlight of our trip. It was recommended by Dimitra and we loved it. Brand new boat, friendly captain Petros and assistant Vaso, gorgeous scenes, amazing sunset view, great ambience. Everything added up to a beautiful and memorable experience!

Truly tailor-made Greece
We had given Private Tours a briefing, which included our suggested itinerary and preference for historic and traditional sightseeing. They came back with a 2-week trip, starting in Thessaloniki and ending in Athens. We were a party of 4, so for this trip they provided us a Mercedes Van Viano, which had plenty of space for all our luggage and was most comfortable. Most importantly, the man in charge of this vehicle (I don't like to call him "our driver" because he was much more than that), George, bent over backwards to give us the best possible experience of his motherland. He was competent, interesting and entertaining, all while bending the program to suit our preference and timing. Private Tours organized local guides at every important stop and George complimented this service with his own knowledge and (strong) opinions. We travel to have a good time, but we also want to learn as much as we can from the local history, culture and traditions - we got all that and more from this exquisite trip.
I would have no hesitation recommending Private Tours to anybody who wants to explore Greece in a little more depth than the average tourist

We got there early, which I would highly recommend as it was very hot and you will get there before the cruise ship people arrive. We had a small group of around 12~14 and it lasted around 1.5 hours. Our tour guide was called Calypso (apologies if I spelled it incorrectly) and here passion was palpable. she was a teacher and tried to make it interactive and thought provoking for everyone there. The ticket also lets you go to the archaeological museum and you need to go there to make the story complete. Knossos is very thought provoking and the museum will leave you in awe. Just do it.

A big thank you to all at Private Tours Greece who helped make this possible, especially to Dimitra who helped organize the tour. The office staff were great and our driver Panos was awesome and so were the other drivers we had for our transfers.
We were a group of 4 traveling around Greece in November 2018. We had a few places in mind we wanted to visit and Dimitroula made this possible for us and she was so quick and efficient in replying to my many emails. We made some changes to the original itinerary and this was no issue at all for her. She even arranged for us to stay at 4 star hotels of our choice.
Our driver was friendly, very knowledgeable and respectful and the car was always clean.
This tour was at a relaxed pace as we were not rushed which made it even more enjoyable.
A great time was had by all...
We will definitely use Private Tours Greece next time in Greece... hopefully in 2020
