A great way to experience the many wonders of Ancient Greece.From the moment we were picked up at our hotel we knew this trip was going to be special.  It was indeed a brilliant way to cover a lot of territory in just under a week as Greece has such a vast array of breathtaking places to visit on the mainland, not just the islands. Our first driver took ill and was promptly replaced with another thoroughly dependable fellow who checked with us all the time about where we would stop, and for how long. Hotel accommodation was of a high standard overall with Sparta being the only exception. The office staff at Private Tours Greece were helpful and understanding when we had unavoidable delays with our booking and confirmation at our end. It was truly a pleasure to do business with them. We spent a total of 4 weeks in Greece, the five days and 6 nights of this tour being a very memorable part of our holiday.

I wanted to follow up to share feedback on our trip — truly spectacular!!! Greece is an amazing country full of culture, history, amazing food and unbelievable natural vistas —seas, mountains, valleys. The 5 Day Classical Tour itinerary showcases all of those things. Nikos was the best driver imaginable. He was incredibly helpful, gracious and accommodating to my family and me. He’s friendly and professional. And he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of at every step. If not for your and Nikos’ assistance our final day, we would have been stranded at the port when our boat charter suddenly changed the port at the last minute. We can’t say enough good things about Nikos—we quite literally would have been lost without him. The tour guides were informative and help Greece’s history and archeological sites come to life. While all of our guides were knowledgeable and thoughtful, Katerina was a particularly great storyteller and got my 9 year old son more excited about Greek history and mythology.

I’d be happy to recommend your company to my colleagues and friends looking to visit Greece.

During our month in Greece

After 3 weeks in Greece visiting Athens, Mykonos, Naxos and Santorini we were picked up by Dimitri and our real Greek tour began. Absolutely superior isn’t enough to explain how great our 4 days were. From 4/5 star hotels, to an incredibly knowledgeable guide our tour was the best part of our month in Greece. Every detail was taken care of, with Dimitri providing incredible details of every city, side stops, restaurants and of course shopping. Post cruise trip to Meteora

We had a wonderful two day trip. Our cruise end in Piraeus, The cruise line offered a three day, two night trip to Meteora and Delphi. The cruise line trip ended at your hotel in downtown Athens. You then had to make your own arrangements to get to the airport.

Before deciding to do a private tour, I exchanged several emails with the owner, Dimitra. I couldn't believe how fast she answered them regardless of the time difference. She agreed to for us to be picked up at the ship and end our tour at the Sofitel hotel which is directly across the street from the airport. I also recommend this hotel.

The tour was fantastic. Our driver and guide met us as soon as we picked up our luggage. We spent an hour at the Acropolis before heading to Delphi and then Meteora. The next day, we were able to visit the monastery of the Holy Trinity which was where the James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only was filmed. Bus trips do not visit this monastery because of it being difficult to reach.

The overall cost of our private tour was the same as the bus trip offered by the cruise line. Instead of being on a bus with 40 people, we drove around in a Mercedes. In addition, we were able to spend an hour at the Acropolis, visit the monastery of the Holy Trinity, and the site of the battle of Thermopylae plus other stops along the way.

Our driver Costas and our guide Maria were great. Maria has an outstanding knowledge on every site we visited, and every question we asked. We feel we now have friends in Greece. I highly recommend using Private Tours Greece. When we return to Greece, we plan on using Private Tours Greece again and we’ll request to have Maria as our guide

Amazing Trip! 11 days in Athens, Delphi, Meteora, Santorini, Crete

We spent a lot of time speaking with different tour companies before we booked our trip and ended up choosing Private Tours Greece. We were dealing with Dimitra who was extremely helpful in the planning of a trip that fit our schedule and allowed us to see as many things as possible. We requested to have a driver, tour guides, and luxury hotels as well as restaurant bookings and Dimitra assisted in making all of the arrangements.
When we landed we were greeted immediately after getting our luggage by our driver Stathis who was extremely friendly and professional. Stathis was our driver for almost the entire trip with the exclusion of Santorini and we became very friendly and also greatly appreciated his punctuality and professionalism. I think Stathis is probably the best driver we have ever had in our travels. There was a lot of driving on the trip from the hotels to the different museums, restaurants, sites, etc. and it was great to know we had such a reliable driver to lean on.
Dimitra also arranged for us to have tour guides every day as we had requested. All of the guides spoke perfect english and were extremely knowledgable about both ancient and contemporary history of Greece and the specific archeological sites. One guide in particular worth mentioning was Aggelos. This guy knew more about Greece and the history of the land than seemingly anyone could possibly keep in their head. We really enjoyed the lessons from Aggelos and we also had a very friendly rapport with him.
Along the way we had some questions and small changes that needed to be made and everything was handled immediately by Dimitra. The speed with which she responded was almost inhuman and she made traveling in unfamiliar territory very smooth and enjoyable. The service that we received from Dimitra and the agency as well as all of the arrangements that were made for us were 100% top notch. We would recommend this agency to anyone looking to plan a trip to Greece. We had an amazing trip and saw everything we wanted to see and more!

What an experience.

We wanted a Greek experience we would not ever forget. We wanted to go island hopping before the Easter holidays and the rush would start. What we got was more than perfect. From greetings at the airport since I was traveling from the Middle east and my wife from America, to great location hotels, comfortable tours. Visiting the islands was a dream come true. All our expectations were met thanks to a well organized and efficient tour company. I would recommend it to anyone in a heart beat.

Very comfortable van for 5 people and very good driver.

Both hotels were reasonable and appropriate for the vacation.
The vehicle was very nice and Stathis was excellent, both as a driver and companion!
