Private Shore Excursion in Santorini: Top Highlights, Villages & Beaches

We've done group shore excursions before and they're fine, but this was a completely different experience. Just the four of us, our own vehicle, and a driver who actually knew what he was talking about. Perissa was a nice surprise - we didn't expect the black sand to be that dramatic. Oia at the end was crowded but our driver found a spot away from the main path that most people miss. Highly recommend.
 

Traveled with my parents, both in their 70s. I was a bit nervous about the walking but our driver checked in with them at every stop and adjusted the pace without us even having to ask. The views from Prophet Elias were worth the trip alone. My mum still talks about it.
 

Third time in Santorini and I finally saw parts of the island I'd never been to. Megalochori and Emporio were completely new to me - the Kasteli in Emporio is something else. Our driver was relaxed, funny, and clearly knew the island well. No rushing, no script. Just a really good day.

We only had 6 hours in Santorini and I was worried we wouldn't see enough. Our driver picked us up right at the cable car exit and we hit everything - Emporio, the Red Beach, Prophet Elias, Firostefani, and Oia. He knew exactly when to move and when to let us take our time. We were back at the cable car 40 minutes before the ship left. Honestly the best decision we made on the whole cruise.

We were in Santorini in February, right before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemics, and we participated on this land tour. Though in winter, Santorini is much more quiet than in summer time it is still a beautiful island and we really enjoyed the time there.

No matter winter or summer, the 360-degree view from Prophet Elias is stunning and the sunset in Oia or even in Fira town is magic. White and blue colors are everywhere in Fira.
