Day 1: Arrival in Athens
- Upon your arrival at Athens airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, take some time to relax and settle in. Depending on your arrival time, you might have the opportunity to start exploring the vibrant city of Athens, with its rich history and fascinating culture. Overnight stay in Athens.
Day 2: Athens - Mycenae - Epidaurus - Nafplio - Olympia
- After breakfast, embark on a scenic journey along the coastal road towards the Corinth Canal. Pause for a photo stop at this engineering marvel before continuing to Epidaurus. Here, marvel at the well-preserved Sanctuary of Asklepios and the ancient Theater of Epidaurus, renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Next, proceed to Nafplio, Greece's first capital, where you'll wander through the charming Old Town. The tour then takes you to Mycenae, an ancient archaeological site steeped in myth and history, including the Acropolis and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Finally, journey to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, where you'll dine and spend the night.
Day 3: Ancient Olympia - Delphi
- In the morning, explore the fascinating archaeological site of Ancient Olympia. Discover the remains of the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus and the Ancient Stadium, where the ancient Olympic Games were held. Visit the Archaeological Museum to admire its collection of artifacts. Departing Olympia, traverse the impressive Rion-Antirion Bridge, which connects the Peloponnese peninsula to mainland Greece. Pass through picturesque towns en route to Delphi, a place revered as the center of the world by the ancient Greeks. Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation in Delphi.
Day 4: Delphi - Meteora
- Start your day with a visit to Delphi's archaeological site, including the Oracle, Stadium, and Ancient Theatre. Explore the Museum of Delphi, home to iconic masterpieces such as the ''Charioteer'' statue. Departing Delphi, journey to Kalambaka, a quaint town nestled at the foot of the towering rock formations known as Meteora. These natural wonders are adorned with monasteries dating back to the Byzantine era. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in Meteora.
Day 5: Meteora - Athens
- Discover the awe-inspiring Byzantine Monasteries of Meteora, perched atop towering rock pillars. Visit two of these remarkable monasteries and marvel at their architectural splendor and panoramic views. Afterward, journey back to Athens, passing through historic sites such as Trikala, Lamia, and Thermopylae. Pause at the statue of King Leonidas, a tribute to the famous Battle of Thermopylae. Overnight stay in Athens.
Day 6: Guided Tour Acropolis, Parthenon, Museum and Temple of Zeus
- In the morning, we will begin our Athens City Tour with a bus drive past key landmarks, including the Parliament, University, Library, Presidential Residence with its traditional Guards, the Panathenaic Stadium, and the Temple of Zeus. The tour then continues on foot to the Acropolis, where you will explore the iconic Parthenon and other ancient structures that define Athens’ classical heritage. Afterwards, visit the New Acropolis Museum to admire its extensive collection of artifacts, sculptures, and exhibits that bring the history of ancient Greece to life. Following the museum visit, the tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel, leaving you free to enjoy the rest of your day in Athens. Overnight in Athens.
Day 7: Day Cruise To Saronic Islands, Poros, Hydra, Aegina
- In the morning our bus driver will meet you at your hotel to transfer you to Marina to get on the cruise boat. The cruise starts at 08:15 hrs so get ready to sail the Saronic Gulf. The first stop will be at the island of Hydra, famous for its cosmopolitan visitors, its pedestrian narrow streets (the only car available is the police car) and the donkeys used for transportation of goods. The next stop will be the island of Poros, right off the coast of Eastern Peloponnese and only a 15-20 minute ferry sail from it. The island is famous for its lemon trees and its good food. The last stop will be in the island of Aegina (famous for its production of pistachio nut and for the monastery of Agios Nektarios (the patron saint of the island). Lunch will be served onboard. The cruise ends at approximately 19:00 hrs and our bus driver will be at the port to take you back to your hotel. Overnight in Athens.
