- Your private driver will wait at the cruise port of Argostoli to start the wonderful shore excursion to some of the most popular sites in Kefalonia. First visit will be at Acqui Memorial monument which commemorates the 9250 Italian soldiers who died during battles with the Germans, were executed or have died during transport to detention camps. The Massacre of the Acqui Division, also known as the Cephalonia Massacre, was the mass execution of the men of the Italian 33rd Infantry Division Acqui by the Germans on the island of Cephalonia, Greece, in September 1943, following the Italian armistice during the Second World War.
- Next stop will be at Katavothres, one of the world's most astonishing geological phenomena for which there have been many discussions. The sea water rushes in through some cracks in the rocks on the shore and vanishes underground. The unique phenomenon of Kefalonia is that the sinkholes beneath the sea, underground cross the entire island, from west to east, for a distance of about 15 km.
- Another wonderful visit is at the lighthouse of Saint Theodoroi which lies on a man-made peninsula close to Argostoli village, the capital of the island. It is decorated with 20 columns and its tower is 8 m tall. The building has a rather simple and Doric architectural style, while its focal plane is 11 m. It was originally built in 1828 but was completely destroyed during the earthquake of 1953 and was re-built in 1960 by the local architect Takis Pavlatos according to its original architectural design.
