Our tour starts at 09.30 at the meeting point on Athinas street in downtown Athens. During the tour, you will wander through the small shops around the Market to buy herbs, seasonings, and other ingredients needed for your cooking class. Once you have all your shopping done, you will return to our kitchen to start the cooking preparations. Our skilled cook will guide you through each step of the cooking process as you prepare the delicious dishes:
- Dolmades: Vine leaves wrapped around herb-infused rice, with the option to add beef
- Spanakopita: Spinach pies with a touch of creamy, salty feta all wrapped up in pastry
- Tzatziki: Classic Greek yogurt scented with garlic, cucumber, and herbs, perfect for dipping dolmades and pies
- Imam Baildi: Roasted eggplants topped with a rich fresh tomato sauce and feta cheese, a dish that originated from Asia Minor with Greek refugees
- Portokalopita: A soft orange "pie" made from phyllo pastry, oranges, and scented with cinnamon, an all-time favorite for many Greeks
After the cooking, it's time to dine! You will sit down and enjoy your hand-made meal with a 250ml carafe of wine or soft drinks and drinking water on the table.
