.The 15-day tour package is exciting and offers a great combination of ancient and classical Greece, as well as the beautiful Cycladic islands of Mykonos and Santorini. Starting with private sightseeing in Athens allows you to explore the capital city and its famous monuments that showcase Greek heritage.
Santorini is indeed known for its romantic atmosphere, stunning views, and picturesque villages like Oia. The suggested day cruise to the active volcano, Hot Spring, and Thirasia provides a unique experience. Ending the cruise with a sunset view in Oia is a popular choice, as the sunsets in Santorini are renowned for their beauty.
Mykonos, which is famous for its vibrant nightlife, stunning beaches with golden sand, and clear blue waters. The island offers a mix of relaxation, exploration, and entertainment.
Delos is an island of great archaeological significance and is considered sacred to Apollo and Artemis. Exploring its ruins and historical sites can be a fascinating experience.
DAY 1: Meet & Greet:
- Our driver will meet you at Athens airport El. Venizelos, and transfer you at your hotel. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 2: Guided - Private Tour in Athens:
- Meet your private driver your hotel to start a stunning private tour in Athens. Panoramic city tour to the most Athens’s iconic landmarks. We will visit Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times took place in 1896. Proceeding, we will visit Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Panathenaic Stadium etc. Mount Lycabettus, one of the city’s most stunning natural features and the higher point of Athens.
Acropolis: This is the most famous landmark in Athens and is a must-visit for anyone traveling to the city. The Acropolis is home to the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion, all of which are ancient Greek temples that have survived for thousands of years. Acropolis Museum: Located at the foot of the Acropolis, this museum is dedicated to the artifacts found on the Acropolis and is a great place to learn more about the history of Athens. Plaka: This is the oldest neighborhood in Athens and is filled with narrow streets, beautiful architecture, and traditional tavernas. DAY 3: Corinth - Cog Railway - Cave of Lakes - Kalavryta - Nafplio
- Our driver will pick you up from your hotel to have our first stop, at the Canal of Corinth (6 km length and 80m height). We will visit the Corinth Canal, which is a narrow waterway that connects the Gulf of Corinth to the Aegean Sea. Corinth is famous for its ancient ruins, including the Temple of Apollo, the Ancient Corinth Archaeological Museum, and the Acrocorinth fortress. Journey with COG Railway is a scenic train ride through the mountains of the Peloponnese region, passing through charming villages and offering stunning views of the landscape. Cave of Lakes in Kalavryta is a stunning network of underground lakes and waterfalls that can be explored by foot. It's a great place to escape the heat and enjoy some natural beauty. We have a stop for lunch at the picturesque village of Kalavrita. Nafplio is a picturesque town on the coast with a rich history and stunning architecture. Some must-see sights include the Palamidi fortress. Overnight Nafplio
DAY 4: Nafplio - Mycenae - Epidaurus - Delphi
- After the breakfast, you will explore Nafplio, a charming coastal town with a beautiful old town and a Venetian fortress. Get memorable photos form Palamidi Castle. We will visist the ancient sites of Mycenae, including the Lion Gate, the Treasury of Atreus, and the ruins of the ancient citadel. Next stop will be at the famous theater of Epidaurus, known for its exceptional acoustics. Finally, we will reach at Ancient Olympia for Overnight.
DAY 5: Ancient Olympia - Delphi
Today we will visist Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Explore the archaeological site, including the ancient stadium, Temple of Zeus, and the Archaeological Museum of Olympia. Learn about the history and significance of the Olympic Games. Leaving Ancient Olympia, we will cross over the amazing bridge of Rion – Antirion, one of the biggest bridges in Europe. For the wine lovers, we suggest a tasting tour in a winery. Then we will head to Naupactus, a beautiful seaside small town, where you can visit the Venetian Castle, the Venetian Port, and after lunch we will reach at Delphi for overnight.
DAY 6: Delphi - Meteora
Head to Delphi, located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Visit the ancient Sanctuary of Apollo and the Oracle of Delphi. Explore the Delphi Archaeological Museum, which houses artifacts from the site. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Village of Arachova. Depart from Arachova and driving through Central Greece we arrive in Kalambaka, a small traditional town that is built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks of God, at the shadow of the great Meteora Monasteries. Overnight Meteora.
DAY 7: Veroia - Vergina - Thessaloniki
- Our driver will pick you up from your hotel to visit Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its monasteries perched atop towering rock formations. Visit some of the monasteries, such as the Great Meteoron Monastery and Varlaam Monastery. Take in the breathtaking views of the unique landscape. Next stop will be at Vergina, the ancient capital of Macedonia and the burial site of the Macedonian kings. Explore the Royal Tombs of Vergina, including the tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. In only a few miles away is Veria (Biblical Beroea), where we will visit the Saint Paul's Bema, and then stroll through the old Jewish neighborhood and the colorful market area. We leave from Meteora to head to Thessaloniki for Overnight.
DAY 8: Pella - Edessa - Naousa - Thessaloniki
After your breakfast, leave Thessaloniki to visit Pella, the birthplace of Alexander the Great, and discover the archaeological site. Then travel to Edessa, known for its impressive waterfalls. Explore the city and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Proceed to Naousa, a picturesque town famous for Aristotle's School, the picturesque site where the great philosopher taught ‘the doctrines of morals and politics' to Alexander the Great and the Macedonian youth. Overnight in Thessaloniki.
DAY 9: Dion Park - Athens
- After your breakfast, leave from Thessaloniki to have our first stop at the Archaeological Park of Dion, the sacred city of the Macedonians, at the foot of mountain Olympus. After your visit, driving to the south and through Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae, where we will make a stop to admire the statue of Leonidas as a memorial of the battle between the 300 Spartans and the soldiers of the Persian Empire, and Thebes, we will arrive in your hotel in Athens for overnight
DAY 10: Athens - Mykonos
- We will pick you up from your hotel to get to the Piraeus port and take to take your ferry at 07.25 to reach Mykonos Island at 11.25. Mykonos is the most famous island in the world for its beaches, its fun, its exciting nightlife, its picturesque Cycladic houses, the luxury hotels, also known as the island of winds. Our driver will transfer you to your hotel. The stroll in ‘’Little Venice’’ of the island, or the walk through the narrow streets of "matogiania" will be memorable for your vacations, where you can shop clothes and other local items. We propose you to relax at your hotel and enjoy the amazing night life of Mykonos! Overnight in Mykonos.
DAY 11: Mykonos
- (optional) Guided cruise tour in Delos. Today we suggest you an excellent half-day trip, to the sacred island of Apollo and Artemis, one of the Unesco Heritage sites of Greece. Once on the island, the tour will covers the most important historical sites, such as the ancient theater, the Sanctuary of Apollo, the House of Dionysus, and the Terrace of the Lions. You will also have the opportunity to explore the island's museum, which houses a collection of ancient artifacts and exhibits.
A knowledgeable guide will accompany to the group throughout the tour, providing detailed information on the island's history, architecture, and mythology. Overnight in Mykonos.
DAY 12: Mykonos - Santorini
- Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Mykonos Port so you get the boat departing at 14.55 for the famous Santorini Island. You will arrive at 17.35, and will be transferred to your hotel. The first thing you have to see that will amaze you is the magnificent sunset from Oia, the most famous sunset in the world. Crowds of people gather there, in order to see the sun set! Afterwards, you can enjoy your drink or dinner, in the picturesque capital of the island and walk among the narrow streets of the island where you can buy many souvenirs. Overnight in Santorini.
DAY 13: SAantorini
- (optional) Sunset cruise tour to Volcano with buffet on board. Pick you up from cruise your hotel after noon to start the excellent sunset cruise tour to volcano having our first stop at the famous volcano of Santorini! Then, you will walk to the volcano’s ridge with your guide and he is going to explain you everything about the history and the geology of the volcano. Our next stop will be the island of Palea Kameni where the famous hot springs are located on the west side. Dinner on board sailing above the underwater craters from Palia Kameni to Thirasia Island, the boat will anchor close to the island in order to enjoy your dinner. The end of the excursion comes on sunset time. Our boat will stop very close to Oia village where you will have the chance to watch the warm light of the setting sun under the violet sky before the night falls. This is the most unforgettable experience as the Caldera and the village of Oia will turn into gold color! Overnight in Santorini.
DAY 14: Santorini - Athens
- Our driver will meet you at the hotel and will transfer you to Santorini Port at 12.00 to take the boat for Piraeus Port, where you will arrive at 17.00 pm. Then, you will be transferred to your hotel in Athens. Overnight in Athens
